Adult Ed for Advent & Epiphany

In Advent, beginning on December 4, we gather from 9 till 9:45 for Treasures of the Anglican Tradition.  We’ll look at a hymn or two from the service that follows and pick the poetry apart to understand what we’re singing about at a deeper level.  We meet December 4, 11, and 18.

In Epiphany Season:  The Psalms.  Our Adult Ed Psalms series begins on January 8 and ends on February 26. We'll meet from 9 until 9:45 on Sundays. For our Adult Ed series after Epiphany, we’ll take time to use the book of Psalms to reflect on different types of prayer, from intercession and lament to praise and thanksgiving. The psalms have been said to contain the entire range of human emotion, and Jews and Christians alike have used them for thousands of years to worship God and to enrich their spiritual lives. As we pray and walk through selected psalms together over several weeks, I hope that we can see more of what the psalms can offer us in our own lives.
