Our Interim Priest-in-Charge
The Rev. Alon White is our Interim Priest-in-Charge. Our parish is currently "in transition" as we listen for God's leading as we begin the process to call a new rector. Come and see!
Martha Meyer, Music Minister
Martha Jeppesen Meyer began piano lessons at age 4, and she continued piano study at Smith College with Solon Robinson and later with private teachers Burton Hathaway (classics), and John and Gay Mehegan (jazz). Martha has studied organ with Berkeley Peabody, Edwin Taylor and Robert Kwan.
Based on her English major degree from Smith, she taught for 12 years at Bridgeport Engineering Institute, while her original musical plays for children were performed at the Downtown Cabaret Theater of Bridgeport where she was a Music Director.
Martha has supplied background piano music at area country clubs, the Mayflower Inn, the IBM Conference Center, and various other venues.
She came to Christ Church Parish in 2007 after 15 years as Music Director for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport where she founded the Revelation Jazz Ensemble. Her home since 1973 is in Redding, where her 4 children (3 daughters, 1 son) graduated from Joel Barlow High School.
She enjoys the freedom that Christ Church gives her to program a wide variety of music, and she is grateful for the dedication and talents of our Chancel Choir.
Beth Cox, Parish Administrator
Beth Cox came to Christ Church in January, 2011. She and her family have been active members of St. James' Church in Danbury since 2001.
